Regional Food Charter

I wanted to connect you to one of Archway's current activities - establishing a Food Charter for the City of Abbotsford. This is being done via Archway Food Justice Program. A Food Charter can act as a high-level, locally developed policy tool that combines action goals to guide and implement food policy in the region. It outlines shared community principles related to many aspects of food, including production, distribution, access, consumption, processing, and waste handling.

There are some upcoming Community Engagement Sections on April 18 and June 19. We hope you can attend to provide your thoughts and perspectives on Local Food policy. We would really appreciate if you would share the information with your networks please. We would really value increased participation by local producers from the Agriculture Industry.As this document will be created by community for our community, we want to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to have their voices heard.
